Eric joined Hyland Hill Investment Partners in 2021, where he assists with the sourcing, underwriting, and asset management of investments across Hyland Hill’s platform.

Before his tenure at Hyland Hill, Eric served as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Rise Modular, a startup manufacturer of modular apartments and hotels. As the company's second employee, Eric played a pivotal role in leading the company from a concept to a fully operational manufacturing facility with a pipeline exceeding $50 million. This included the completion of the first modular apartment building in Minneapolis. In his role, Eric led the finance team, securing over $13 million in financing for the acquisition and build-out of the manufacturing plant, working capital for the business, bonding for projects, and managing business budgeting and forecasting.

Earlier in his career, Eric worked at Värde Partners as an investment professional in the Mortgages group. He was part of a dedicated team responsible for raising and investing over $1 billion in the real estate credit space. He assisted with approximately $600 million of loan acquisitions and roughly $200 million of mortgage loan originations.

Before starting at Värde Partners, Eric worked at Piper Jaffray as an investment banker in their Healthcare IT and Services group.

Eric graduated with distinction, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a minor in Management from the University of Minnesota.
